Given the wrong license plate?

I just bought a car yesterday and as I was sorting some annual insurance today after free insurance expired noticed the number plate on the car does not correspond to insurance sheet plate (one letter is wrong L instead of J). I checked back and the previous owner's service history and original delivery sheet and it has the wrong license plate from your car! This was four years ago! Nobody realized this – I bought it from a reputable dealer and they still entered the wrong license plate, even MOT sheet lists the wrong board – I will be contacting the dealer tomorrow, then plate on the car is not in the database. Will the dealer or the previous owner have problems (such as insurance etc.) were wrong?
