Car Insurance Online Cover Note
New Car Road Tax?
I bought a car from a dealer yesterday and he is going to have it MOT’d for me. I bought insurance online but the cover note will take 4-5 days to arrive in the post. What shall I do about road tax? I can’t apply for it without an insurance cover note.
I don’t have anywhere to park the car except for the street in front of my house. I’m scared I may get clamped. Any advice?
Maybe the dealer can keep the car for you until the cover note comes through.Also if he is MOTing it for you that may take a few days.Whenever I have bought insurance on line,the cover note has never taken longer than 48hrs! Do you not have a friend,relative or even neighbour who has space on their drive? You are right not to risk the road,you just never know your luck. This time next week,all this will be a distant problem and you will be driving around in you new car! Good luck
