Best Florida homeowners insurance? Specifically, Ft. Lauderdale area?
I am responsible for finding a new home insurance to my boss to use Since State Farm will be releasing their South Florida people. Any suggestions? Who has everything you South Floridian had an excellent experience with regard to prices, service and coverage? Thank you.
It is not who has the best coverage – it's about who is willing to take you. Citizens is the only RATED carrier rated by AM Best, who currently writes homeowners insurance in FL. You can go with an unrated carrier, which is new – but the problem is the financial information I have seen show that they have sufficient reserves for a big hurricane – which would mean that you will have a very hard time getting paid.
